The President of Peru claims that John Paul II’s first miracle (which already happened BTW. He cured a woman from Parkinson’s. Guess the President missed that one) was ridding the world of Osama Bin Laden.

From the AP

“His first miracle was to remove from the world the incarnation of evil, the demonic incarnation of crime and hatred, giving us the news that the person who blew up towers and buildings is no longer.”

Um, let me see if I have this right? Pope John Paul II, the man who forgave his OWN assassin (as if we needed another reminder of forgiveness today) snuffed out Bin Laden? I don’t think so.

If anything the Pope is working on each one of us to have the strength that he had—to forgive even the darkest enemy that you know. I can’t think of someone who represents that more than Bin Laden.

From the time machine over at BustedHalo comes this article about the Pope’s great radical forgiveness. It’s an opportunity for us to remember that we are called to forgiveness at all costs.
