So we worked in Vanceburg with People’s Self-Help Housing. They were a group of guys–and I do mean guys, real men—workboots and flannel. These are the kind of guys that you’d find talking smack in the barber shop and it was no different on the construction site. One guy came in and was smothered by three others who knuggied him into submission and came up laughing. They were great guys who made us all feel real welcome and found us some fun tasks to do.
