And I’ve seen some of the most beautiful ones ever this summer in Buffalo (of all places! Who knew!?).
Here are two shots from, believe it or not, my living room window.
Not bad shots with an iPhone either.
During the gray winters, I longed for a bright, beautiful, blue-skied, sunny day and there it was. And as day is done I remind myself with each sunset of the gratitude I have for that day that has past. What has God given to me today and how did I use that gift of life? Did I waste it? Or did I use that time well?
What else did God offer me today? Was it what I expected or did the surprising blues and the purples of the skyline show themselves in other ways? God’s surprises lurk everywhere, and perhaps at times noticing God in our lives is as simple as looking out the window.
