Covenant House is a home for homeless youth and youth in crisis situations and let me tell you, if you didn’t know it already, they are doing God’s work. Nearly 40% of all homeless individuals are under the age of 18–a horrifying figure.

Three students and I helped out in the nursery at Covenant House as many of the women who make their way to Covenant House have children that needs care. My deepest reflection for the day was that while we had a ball, as you can see in the videos below, these are children who are no longer through the grace of God, in harm’s way. Covenant House provided them with a safe haven and while their parent is working their program, the nursery takes care of them.
